I'll have some rest!

Still not much time for things I wanna do for my personal enjoyment... Certainly busy, no doubt about it but not too much stuff to do; I should be able to handle them better. Anyway there is always something to do these days, which is good but I need some rest.

Borrowed two books that are apparently informative. One is about a scholar who rightly predicted the collapse of the Soviet Union. It is in a way surprising that the scholar is Japanese... The book itself is not that new but once I read another book by him and that was very eye-opening, insightful and the argument was solid. Therefore naturally I am interested to read his other works.

The other day I attended a symposium on the Cold War. Various academics, British, American, Japanese, Korean etc were attending also... This field, i.e. International Relations, was once my area of interest. It is still so, yes.

What I learnt, in addition to some new perspectives, is the fact that we, if we are to play a role internationally, should be able to speak English well and to possess a good sense of humor. This means a lot.

Tonight I am strongly hoping to do some reading. A lot to read. So much I wanna know about. I should relax as well. I will by jogging round too.
