Thoughts

I gave a public lecture the other day, no, last week and I thoroughly enjoyed talking in front of the audience. I even received thank you letters.

The group I addressed is a business association that meets once or twice a week. There're many company owners attending so the meeting itself is in some ways for exchanging business cards, i.e., making connections.

It was the first time I'd given a lecture there. There were about fifty people in the audience so it was nice; speaking to a big audience is better.

After the lecture on the future of Japan, I chatted with some of the participants and it was enjoyable. However, I sensed that even the committee members are not as decent as I expected. Some of them look weird... I hope the they understood some of my lecture though.

I think I wrote about another lecture I gave last month... Now I feel that anyone can do anything and actually anyone does anything as they please. I should probably abandon the high expectations I did have of others who seem to be doing something great; they are just Joe Bloggs's and Jane Smiths...
