Lost and found

A relaxing weekend... It's been a beautiful day. Took a nap in the afternoon which I seldom do. That was very nice indeed!

Yesterday evening I popped out to a supermarket. Used the toilet in the shop and there, I found a Japanese passport! Looks like a Japanese young girl had left it there. I took it to the police nearby instead of leaving it with the shop staff. After a while the girl phoned me at home to say thank you.

Today, before working out at the gym I was at a rail station to buy a pass and there again I found an envelop. I picked it up and left it with the station staff. Hope it's been returned to the owner.

Being alert, attentive, and careful... is necessary whenever out. You never know what happens! For this reason I carry a little too much stuff with me when I go out... things like a Swiss knife, an electronic dictionary, small towels, USB memory sticks, ear phones etc. I don't use these that often but have used all of them at least once when I couldn't do without them! I know, however, that I need to carry a little less -- when I carry other stuff, my bag gets a little too heavy.
