The weather has been so nice over the weekend... a long week of eating out is finally over. Of course everything I had was great but after the last post I ate out as many as three times! Stuffed but more than enough now.
Occasionally I go to 'Snacks' which are, at least in theory, places where you drink, sing on karaoke and relax. Yet it just does not work for me. I do not go to such places unless invited or taken by somebody. Maybe I should be enjoying those places more than I actually do but how can I with all the smoke, noises from the karaoke system, and more than necessarily cheerful and creepy 'hostesses'? This time I was with a few foreigners but they do not see the point either. Well... part of our work they say though... I do find it interesting in some respects, just in case... People in such places talk honestly, directly etc as they are often tipsy and so it is a good opportunity to get to know them. Plus your business partners may be good singers.
Went to a film preview... a film from the UK titled 'Notes on a scandal' （Official website here）. Intriguing and worth seeing it. It is not something exciting, nail biting, or romantic... far from it but never got bored till the end. Lucky we got nice coffee for free before the film started. Quite a few characters in it... all seem unique and some eccentric but I did identify with them in certain ways... we could be anything depending upon what we do, where, when etc...
Gonna go get some sleep...
