Looooooooooooooong time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NO POST IN AGES!!!!!

I've been extremely busy and came the earthquakes that literally devastated the Tohoku region. The Tokyo metropolitan area has also been affected by blackouts, delayed/cancelled trains, and so forth.

Thank goodness we're all fine here but the news is depressing. I'd like to provide my sincere condolences to the victims. I really hope the nation unites and recovers soon.

The governor of Tokyo said it's God's punishment. I do not think it's appropriate for him to say so in public but I kind of agree with the statement, although the victims haven't done anything wrong. It's just for all of us to rethink and rebuild our society. Just being optimistic about the future. This will change the course of the nation. It must change it. We must stand up and work for the better. Nobody died in vain, that is what I want to say after all.

GHhhhhhhhhh........

Busy. In short, busy.

Time flies...

Lots of things to do. Like today it's Saturday and/but I spent literally the whole day dealing with lots of stuff, including cleaning, packing, planning, replying, phoning, e-mailing, posting, among hundreds of other things... it's already 1 AM and I'm going to sleep.

Tomorrow is going to be another hectic day and I'll be out all day. Need to do more research stuff though... can't be helped.

Then going away soon.

Better get some sleep.

Happy New Year!

AHhhhh........

No update for weeks!!! The last year has gone and the one began... What did I do??? I was busy like always... When I last posted here I was just back from Malaysia, I remember. It was a good trip indeed. Then after that what did I do??? Those days passed so fast.

I didn't apply for a grant to go somewhere. There're other things to do.

Now the New Year Holidays are more or less over and I'm becoming busy again. Hope to get things done well.

SE Asia!

Visited SE Asia! It was one of the countries I'd always wanted to visit once. It's not too far and the good thing is the difference in time is only an hour, although the weather's so different there.

The main purpose was to attend and present at an international conference. The presentation went pretty well, at least a lot better than last year elsewhere in the region. I was really happy it went well after all. Got interesting questions from the audience, chatted with them afterwards, networked, and so on.

The venue was great. The town however wasn't very exciting. It certainly was new to me to see that kind of Asian diversity and multiculturalism there though.

One thing I felt there was that it shouldn't have been too difficult for colonizers that colonized the region to colonize there. Even now when they more or less lead modern life people still look relaxed, a little lazy, etc. I don't mean to be offensive, this is how I felt there.

It's been a looooong time!

Almost a month has passed since I last wrote here!!! Can't tell exactly what's kept me so busy but I've been super busy!!!

I soon get out of here again and am looking forward to it. It's long been a place of interest to me. There have been a number of things to do and time does fly. I wondered why December is called a month when even teachers run around; I now do understand why. Nonetheless keeping busy is good.

As for the research I've got some ideas clearer than my previous ideas, which is nice but knowing what to do there's so much stuff to deal with. Chin up chin up.

How shall I organise those bits and pieces of the stuff on mind...? It's a big challenge indeed.
